Organic Skin Care Products Checklist - are Yours 100% Organic?
For those of you hardcore purists, sorry to disappoint, but a skin care cream cannot possibly be completely organic. Processing is necessary to formulate ingredients scientifically. If you insist on something all-natural, untouched by man, go out to your backyard after a rainstorm and collect some mud. And put that on your skin.Scientific processing isn"t evil.
I believe that natural is best like you do. But I also realize that, in some cases, science takes what is found and nature and improves it. Take herbal dietary supplements, for example, they are just made from the extracts of raw herbs. Scientists figured out how to isolate the most potent part of the herb for the benefit of human health.
It"s the same with organic skin care products; with scientific processing, the natural substances that smooth, firm, and moisturize skin are made even more effective.
What you need to stay away from are skin creams that are processed with harmful chemicals. Some of these widely used chemicals are parabens (preservatives linked to cancer) and fragrances (nice smelling chemicals that cause skin allergies and irritation).
Okay, besides avoiding parabens and fragrances, what things should you look for in organic skin care products?
