Dietary sources of omega3 fatty acids include fatty fish, such as salmon or mackerel, and flax seed, although that is a different omega3 that most be converted in the body to other forms. For people that eat meat, fish or fish oil supplements are recommended. For vegans, algae supplements are suggested.

If your skin seems to look pretty good, eat a healthy diet. Choose lean sources of meat and try to include fish on a regular basis. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Include whole grains and take a good daily multi-nutritional supplement to insure that you are not ň€śmissing outň€ť on something.

After you wash your face, use a moisturizer, regardless of your skin type. Diets for healthy skin can only do so much. The moisturizer that you choose should not contain petrolatum, mineral oil or paraffin wax. These do not penetrate, do not really moisturize and cause excessive greasiness.

Your moisturizer should contain antioxidants, because the antioxidant content of the skin is quickly depleted when it is exposed to UV rays from the sun. When that happens, free radicals damage the skinň€™s cells and fibers. Vitamin E and coenzyme Q10 are ingredients to look for. Your body needs a moisturizer, too.

You might think that there is a single solution to solve any problem. There is not. When it comes to your health and appearance, diets for healthy skin are only one part of the equation.
